Stories for Good Alumni Network
Centre for Stories invites storytellers to stay in touch and know that the end of their workshops is goodbye for now, but not forever!
We run an informal alumni network, Stories For Good, where people who have been trained by the SMALL STORIES team can sign up to receive updates about upcoming storytelling professional development, workshops and networking opportunities.
This includes hearing about other events for people to share their story again too (and be paid for it):
Invitations for paid speaking at storytelling events
Networking events
Professional development and training, including potential experience as a story trainer
Receive updates and opportunities about fellowships, workshops and more!
Yarn with Centre for Stories staff about your career in the arts and writing industries
So, after your final workshop, as Storytellers are completing evaluation forms, encourage them to tick the box that says ‘I would like to hear from Centre for Stories and be notified about alumni opportunities’. This means they will have to provide their email address and mobile number, which will only be used for these purposes.
Part of the Stories for Good process is that storytellers can also set up a one-on-one time to meet with the SMALL STORIES team to discuss their personal journey in storytelling and the arts, and discuss potential speaking and training work opportunities.
These one-on-one career meetings must be organised by the participant themselves, so please give out our email address info@smallstories.com.au to people who are interested in pursuing this.
